The appointment of Honorary Consuls in Estonia can be traced back to the First Republic in 1921.

However it was only in 2008, that a group of serving Honorary Consuls got together and decided to set up the Association of Honorary Consuls.

The aim of the Honorary Consular Corps Estonia is to share know-how and best practices between all honorary consuls in Estonia, The intranet allows the members to ask questions and share experiences.
